Ian Flom

As a member of our Development team, Ian is a Full-Stack Developer, specializing in creating new digital experiences and maintaining existing websites for a variety of the agency’s clients.

Ian is proficient in many programming languages, including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. He uses frameworks such as Vue.js, Jquery, Bootstrap, and Sass, and possesses a strong background in cloud technologies, especially serverless computing. He has also worked on interactive browser apps integrating features like 3D rendering technology and data-driven personalized user experiences.

In the early years of his career journey, Ian was with the start-up Prifina, a Silicon Valley-based data technology company that focuses on user-held data. Ian’s work focused on building functions for the parsing and categorization of large sets of user data, and the serverless architecture facilitating dynamic individual deployments for end-users.

Ian is a quick study, and while he attended Fox Valley Technical College with a focus on software development, he is largely self-taught. Early on, he unearthed an interest in machine learning, which led him to begin developing neural networks in his free time. This was a driving force in his career journey and has led to his passion for building compelling experiences that take advantage of large data sets and cutting-edge technologies.

Though there is not much downtime for a developer, Ian is an avid hiker and technical SCUBA diver. He’s backpacked around the world to explore shipwrecks and underwater caves in places like Thailand, Mexico, and the U.S.

Ian grew up in Appleton, WI, and now resides in Sheboygan, WI.
