Sun Graphics Media is currently seeking a Junior Front-End Developer that can combine the art of design with the art of programming. This role would have TWO direct reports: Director of Marketing and Business Development and Senior Web Developer.

In collaboration with ownership, the Director of Marketing, and supported by a high energy and talented team, you'd be responsible for utilizing your knowledge to develop, implement, and maintain dynamically-driven websites and web-based technologies that meet the needs of our clients.

You will need to use a mix of tried-and-tested practices and your creative ideas to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation. Your role will be to code and test solutions and integrations for web-based systems. This position is expected to support, work closely with, and take direction from the Senior Web Developer.

To break this down further, you need to be able to do the following:

Develop new user-facing features

Build code and libraries for future use

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

Collaborate with clients and other team members

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements

HTML/ CSS (strong knowledge of semantic HTML/ accessibility best practices preferred)
Client-side JavaScript
- Familiarity with modern ES6+ syntax
Experience building front-ends using Bootstrap CSS framework
Ability to pass a basic coding test

Preferred

Experience with a JavaScript framework like React or Vue
Experience building CMS-driven websites for non-technical editors
Basic knowledge of PHP
Experience using a CSS preprocessor (Sass, Less, etc.)
